L.A. County Advanced Diver Program -- begins July 9

Date  : July 09, 2011

Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation has announced dates for the 2011 Advanced Diver Program (ADP). Beginning July 9, local divers can take part in this wholly unique diving program that is designed specifically with California divers in mind. Participants will be exposed to the skills that will create a more confident and well-informed diver in a practical hands-on environment. With a over 100 hours of pool, ocean and classroom training, planned and led by a staff of instructors experienced in the rigors of Southern California diving, the opportunity to have a great time and become better divers has never been easier. Students will be exposed not just the usual deep and night diving but also search and salvage, lake diving, altitude diving, extensive beach diving, underwater use of tools, in depth oceanography and intensive local marine life studies. In addition, participants will meet with and learn from some of the most influential and respected people in diving today.
